When everyday worries grow into something that disrupts your life, this can often be classified as anxiety. It’s incredibly common and can look different for everyone. Some people worry about everything all the time (generalized anxiety), while others might panic in certain situations, feel terrified in social settings, or have specific fears that seem impossible to overcome.
Panic attacks can occur suddenly and include effects like a racing heart, difficulty breathing, and thinking you might die. Anxiety attacks build more slowly with worry that eventually hits physically, but usually less intensely.
Because of how different anxiety disorders can materialize, knowing which type someone has helps inform which treatment would be best. The DSM-5 includes the following anxiety disorders:
Another part of correct anxiety treatment is knowing which symptoms pertain most to which form of the disorder.
Getting to the bottom of your anxiety means talking with someone who knows what to look for. While you or your loved one might experience some anxiety disorder symptoms, only professionals can make a diagnosis. At Refresh, we assess through honest conversations, targeted evaluations, and reviews of your health history to build a plan that makes sense for your healing.

Anxiety often makes individuals fixate and worry about the future, and mindfulness grounds you in the present. We'll teach you breathing, muscle relaxation, and other techniques to calm your body.
What you eat, how you move, and whether you sleep affect anxiety. We help you establish and build healthy habits into your routine.
